       20133 Milano Italy

Euroball is an European project for the gamma ray nuclear spectroscopy, involving 6 country (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, United Kingdom). It consists in an array of Compton suppressed HpGe detectors composed of 30 tapered detectors, 26 Clover detectors and 15 Cluster detectors for a total of  239 HpGe channels.

In 1996 was installed in the Italian INFN Legnaro National Laboratory and in 1998 was moved to the IReS in Strasbourg

In connection with EUROBALL, the specific activity of the Milano group involves the studies of:

The Milano group has been responsible of three EUROBALL experiments

March 1998:          64Ni (220-230-235-245 MeV) + 54Cr       - Proposal -

November 1998:    37Cl (165-170 MeV) + 110Pd = 147Eu*

April 2000:             160 (85 MeV) + 150Nd

A further experiment has been approved by the EUROBALL P.A.C. and it is scheduled at the beginning of 2001
