WINE PARTY

Tuesday evening, in Villa Monastero gardens will take place the world famous Varenna's Wine Party.

This event started 6 years ago following a suggestion by Ken Amos, the President of the Supreme Judging Court (SJC) charged for attributing the prestigious first prize in the Best Wine Competition (BWC). Ken won the first BWC prize with a superb Australian Merlot. Another member of the SJC is the famous world expert Werner Richter. The third member is at present vacant and all those who aspire to get the prestigious position are asked to send their CV to the SJC President who will select the third member.

The rule for participating to the BWC is to present a wine of the Country where the participant is born. Exceptionally one may present a wine of the working Country if the participant is resident there since at least three years.
