How to reach us

From Milan Linate airport:

Take the bus number 73, direction "San Babila". (Bus tickets are available at the newsdealers and a machine by the bus stop outside the airport). Get out at "Corsica Campania" (8th stop, ask driver or other passengers to get the right stop). Now take the bus number 93 (you do not need to buy a new ticket), direction "Lambrate" and get out at "Ponzio Celoria" (6th stop). Enter the physics department through the main entrance in Via Celoria 16.

From Milan Malpensa airport:

Take either the Malpensa express train to arrive at Milano Cadorna (29 - 40 minutes) or the bus to arrive at the central train station (Milano Centrale). A Malpensa express train to Milano Centrale is also available, but, with the notable exception of during the rush hour, takes approximately the same amount of time as the bus and is more expensive. From Milano Cadorna (or from the central station) take the green subway (=line number 2), direction "Gessate/Cologno". (Tickets are again available at the newsdealers or machines in the metro stations). Get out at "Piola". From there follow the flux of students (which is always nonvanishing) to arrive in "Piazza Leonardo da Vinci" (about 100-200 meters from the subway station). Cross the whole piazza, leaving the Politecnico to your left. You arrive in Via Celoria. Go left, along Via Celoria, up to the traffic lights. The main entrance of the physics department, in Via Celoria 16, is immediately after the traffic lights on the right hand side.

From Orio al Serio (BG) airport:

Regular buses connect the airport to the nearest rail station, from where trains leave each 30 minutes directed to the Milano Centrale, Milano Porta Garibaldi and Milano Lambrate (the nearest one to the Physics Dept.) stations. The journey takes approximately an hour. There are also several buses in operation between Orio al Serio and Milano Centrale (details at Autostradale web site) or Milano Lambrate (details at Zani viaggi web site) stations. Currently the cheapest is the new operator Terravison which costs 5 euros for a single or 9 euros return. Otherwise Milan is accessible by car in about 40 minutes.

From the central station:

Cf. "from Malpensa airport", i.e., take the green subway etc.
