CSN3 Nuclear Physics Committee Website

The activity of the Nuclear Physics group of Milano (which reports to the INFN CSN3 https://home.infn.it/en/experiments/csn3-nuclear-physics-experiments) concerns different research fields and is organized in "experiments" focused on specific themes.

In particular, in the field of "Nuclear Structure and Reaction Dynamics"  the GAMMA (gamma spectroscopy), the NEWCHIM (nuclear fragmentation) and the FAMU (Zemach radius of proton) experiments are present; in the "Nuclear Astrophysics and Interdisciplinary researches" the LUNA 3 (cross section for astrophysically relevant reactions), the FOOT (cross sections for medical applications) and the AEGIS (properties of the antimatter) experiments are active and finally in the field of "Quark and hadron dynamics" the KAONNIS (physics of Kaons) experiment is operative.

The scientific activity is performed in national laboratories (L.N.Legnaro, L.N.Frascati, L.N.Gran Sasso) and also in foreign laboratories such as GANIL (France), GSI ( Germany) and RIKEN (Japan).
