Silvia Cereda, enrolled in the master’s program at the University of Milan, is among the winners of the INFN Prize 'More Women in Physics.'
Now in its second edition, the award grants a scholarship to female students enrolled in the first year of the master's degree program in both experimental and theoretical physics of fundamental interactions and applied physics. The winners, from all over Italy, were honored on October 24 in Rome during a ceremony held at Sapienza University of Rome, in the presence of the INFN Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
On the occasion, Silvia said, 'My passion for physics began in high school, thanks to a teacher who, with her enthusiasm, managed to convey her love for the subject. In the near future, I hope to continue my path in the field of medical and healthcare physics by attending the Specialization School to become a specialist in medical physics.'"
