On November 7, in honor of the anniversary of Maria Skłodowska Curie's birth, initiatives will take place across Europe for the European Radon Day, a day dedicated to natural radioactivity, particularly focusing on radon gas.
In Milan, about 120 students participating in the INFN national projects RADIOLAB and ISOradioLAb, as well as in the Radon Laboratory funded under the Ministry of Education’s PLS program, will celebrate the Radon Day at the C03 lecture hall, located at Via Mangiagalli 25. They will present their results and activities conducted during the 2023/2024 school year, joining peers from other schools to raise awareness and bring attention to the issue of radon exposure and its effects on human health.
A virtual connection among the various sites is planned to emphasize the strong sense of belonging to a unique group, united by a shared, ambitious project. Although they work within their respective regions, they are all tied together on a national level by a common thread: radon.
